In contrast to early February, much is changing in the zodiacal sky. We see the Sun transition from electric Aquarius to gentle, otherworldly Pisces on February 18. On this same day, minor planet Chiron enters Aries, beginning a new cycle through the twelve signs. Chiron moves slowly, and so will spend nine years here in Aries. This is an era for boldly taking on challenges, and doing inner work on ourselves so we can be more helpful in the outer world.

For a more complete picture, read both your Sun and rising sign horoscopes.

ARIES (March 21-April 19): Aries is future-oriented and typically charges forward without fear. However, minor planet Chiron enters your sign on Feb 18, bringing along a person from your past who you will need to confront before being able to move on. You may be surprised at the depth of emotion that bubbles up as a result of this flashback. Ignoring this person will keep you stuck in a loop; in order for this chapter to come to a close, they will require some sort of direct communication.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Mars enters your sign on Feb 14, bringing an increase in stamina and confidence. You feel almost super-charged, like anything you touch is imbued with magic. Keep a steady pace to avoid the fallout once the red planet moves on to Gemini next month. The Sun sextiles Mars in your sign on Feb 27, which makes a colleague or friend look to you for guidance and leadership. They might just do anything you say — try not to abuse your power.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): It’s cozy and plush inside your comfort zone, but it’s time to push out of it for a little while. The waxing moon is in your sign on Feb 14 and 15, which piques your curiosity about the world in a blaze of childlike wonder. There’s been a major obstacle in your path for the past few months, but it will now be possible to discover a way around it. Be open to impromptu conversations with people outside your social circle, as answers come from a surprising source.

CANCER (June 21-July 22): You feel endless inspiration when it comes to a particular passion project or hobby of yours. You may not be ready to share or monetize it, and that’s perfectly alright. On Feb 25, the north node of the moon in your sign opposes Venus in Capricorn, which could make you act impulsively. Frustrations arise at circumstances beyond your control for the time being. Channel this intensity into your projects and see what beautiful things you can create.

LEO (July 23-Aug 22): The moon shines brightly in your sign from Feb 17-19, illuminating how far you’ve come over recent months. This time fosters a feeling of compassion for self and others, particularly as the Sun enters empathetic Pisces on Feb 18. You may be more sentimental than usual. Tell those you love how you feel, and spread the warm glow to them. Leo is nothing if not generous with their affections.

VIRGO (Aug 23-Sep 22): You feel weary, battle-worn, and ready for a rest. It may seem like the work you’re doing is all for naught, or that your words aren’t being heard. The full moon in your sign on Feb 19 revives you, giving you the strength to be clear about your expectations and wishes. You might not be able to keep everyone happy, but this is not a time for compromise. Set your line in the sand and see what washes away.

LIBRA (Sep 23-Oct 22): It’s a time for careful contemplation, deep meditation and rest. Suspend yourself and let the world rush on around you for a few days, if you are able. As minor planet Chiron enters your opposing sign Aries on Feb 18, you may feel a desire to distract yourself from uncomfortable feelings by keeping busy. However, the greatest gift you can present to yourself right now is some self-care and peace away from the bustling crowd.

SCORPIO (Oct 23-Nov 21): The full moon on Feb 19 is a positive time for reflection, much like the light shining on the moon’s silver surface. The work you’ve been doing is appreciated and seen, but maybe not by the people you would expect. As the moon enters your sign on Feb 23, your group of confidantes expands. Surround yourself with those who make you feel good about who you are and where you are headed.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22-Dec 21): It seems there are numerous reminders of things you don’t have, goals you haven’t met, and everything that’s unchecked on your to-do list. While dwelling in the realm of possibility normally feels exciting for you, around the full moon on Feb 19, the busy work seems a little empty. By the time the moon enters your sign on Feb 25, you bounce back and find a reason to be grateful for where you are right now. You don’t need to look very far.

CAPRICORN (Dec 22-Jan 19): The full moon in fellow earth sign Virgo on Feb 19 gets you excited about future plans and getting them rolling. Venus and Pluto meet in conjunction in your sign on Feb 23, which intensifies your feelings about a romantic partner or close friend. Existing relationships can move to deeper levels of intimacy or connection during this time. Feelings of jealousy may arise for some Capricorns, but should shake loose by the 26.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20-Feb 18): When the Sun shifts out of Aquarius on Feb 18, you are awarded a cosmic break. With no planets in your sign now, you can get in touch with your own thoughts and feelings without being pulled in many directions at once. There is little impeding your progress aside from your own doubts. Taking a risk could feel frightening but is apt to pay off, provided you don’t let others steer the course of your ship.

PISCES (Feb 19-March 20): The Sun enters your sign on Feb 18, putting the spotlight on you for the next four weeks. Mercury and Neptune are also transiting your sign, giving you deep intuitive prowess. Your hunches are apt to be spot on. As Mercury in Pisces sextiles a group of planets in Capricorn Feb 19-23, your communication skills could successfully navigate you into the next phase of your life, be it a new relationship, job or opportunity.
